Concrete is a common building material and it‘s used in public space in various applications. This material exist everywhere around us and we don’t pay much attention to it because it is mundane. This banality of concrete has inspired me to explore the possibilities of this mouldable material and I hope to find a new and interesting way of working with the material and expanding it‘s range of applications

Concrete Cloth is a material that behaves and looks like fabric when dry but it turns into concrete when saturated with water. Forms that are not common to concrete can be easily achieved thus making it interesting. My work is not intended to be ironic.

My project is about exploring the possibilities of Concrete Cloth as a material for creating furniture for domestic environment. The juxtaposition of context and material is interesting and challenging.
